About the White Elephant Shop

The White Elephant Shop was first opened in May of 1952 and is one of the oldest antique shops on the North Shore. The White Elephant Shop was Voted the “Best Antique Shop on the North Shore” many years by Boston Magazine. This iconic business was featured in Yankee Magazine and made several appearances on Chronicle and This Old House. In 2018 Rick and Jean sold the building housing the White Elephant. Rick continues to operate the business and is “on the road” purchasing your old things and collectibles and assisting with estate settlements. Watch for items being sold on instagram and facebook. Formerly trained as an artist and designer, Rick has an eye for the unique, interesting and collectible. There is something for everyone at The White Elephant Shop. Dealers, designers, collectors, homeowners, contractors and artists browse through the goods regularly searching for unique and fun items!
